Does It Snow in Julian?
Yes.
One of the things that surprises many first-time visitors is that Julian occasionally receives snowfall during winter months – usually February and March – but there are other times of the year that surprise us.
For families in San Diego and Southern California, Julian offers one of the nearest opportunities to experience snow without traveling to larger mountain destinations.
When Does Snow Usually Happen?
Snow events typically occur during colder winter periods between late fall and early spring.
Weather conditions vary each year.
Visitors hoping to see snow should monitor forecasts before booking.
Our elevation is 3,650′ – therefore when it snows, we usually get anywhere from 3″ to 6″ or more – and it’s easy to get around on the property and onto the highway. The higher elevations, Julian proper at 4,200′ or Mt Laguna at 6,000′, our ranch property is a great place to be based for winter vacationing.
